Fresh truffles supplied by 3 Italian firms to be inspected batch-by-batch

Taiwan is increasing the frequency with which imported fresh summer truffles supplied by three Italian suppliers are inspected after another shipment of the fungus was recently found to contain excessive levels of a heavy metal, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Tuesday.
