Taiwan reports 1st death from rare brain-eating amoeba in 12 years

A Taiwanese woman has died from a rare brain infection caused by the amoeba Naegleria fowleri, marking the first fatal case in the country in 12 years, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said Wednesday.
