Weather front to bring rain but mercury could still hit 38 degrees

With a weather front approaching Taiwan, the chance of heavy rain is high for Friday evening, but the daytime temperature in southern parts of the country is expected to hit 38 degrees Celsius or higher, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
