First Echovirus-5 infection in 10 years reported in southern Taiwan

A 1-year-old baby girl has been confirmed to have been infected with the highly contagious Echovirus-5 in southern Taiwan -- the first such case in 10 years -- prompting the health authorities to alert families with children under 5 years of age.
