Taiwan records fifth case of Japanese encephalitis this year

A woman in New Taipei has been diagnosed with Japanese encephalitis, the fifth case of the mosquito-borne disease confirmed in Taiwan so far this year, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said Thursday.
