Taiwan holds Danshui River drills

Taiwanese soldiers on Tuesday practiced deploying floating obstacles designed to hinder Chinese hovercraft and warships from advancing up the Danshui River toward Taipei as part of its five-day “Immediate Response” military exercise that began on Monday. Tanks and armored vehicles were also deployed to Bali District in New Taipei for another drill in the area.
