KMT ordered to compensate Chinese spies for suffering in jail

The Taipei District Court ruled Friday the ruling Kuomintang (KMT) must compensate 16 former Chinese spies, whom the party recruited in 1989 to collect intelligence on the mainland, with cash totalling NT$82.9 million (US$2.8 million) for their suffering in prison.
