Taiwan's TSMC to inaugurate global R&D center on July 28

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, is scheduled to open a global research and development center in Hsinchu, northern Taiwan, next week as part of its efforts to cement the lead over its peers in technology development.
