Guatemalan presidential hopefuls vow to keep Taiwan ties as election nears

The two leading candidates in Guatemala's presidential election have both pledged to keep recognizing Taiwan instead of switching diplomatic recognition to China as the election in the Central American ally is to set to be held on Sunday (Guatemalan time).
