President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) delivered her 2023 New Year's Day address on Sunday, in which she outlined four major goals for the coming year: caring for the public welfare, maintaining Taiwan's economic momentum, safeguarding Taiwan's national security, and fulfilling Taiwan's responsibilities toward the region.
