Taipei, Nov. 24 (CNA) Candidates in the Nov. 26 local government elections in northern Taiwan spent Thursday campaigning, often in the rain, as enthusiastic voters lined up along the roads to show their support when campaign motorcades passed through their area.

Here are some of the highlights from the campaign trail on Thursday.

Penghu County
