Following the Jan. 11 presidential elections and June 6 recall vote of former Mayor Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜), Kaohsiung City holds its third major election this year to choose a new mayor to fill the vacancy left by Han, who was ousted just 18 months into his four-year term.
