Military ready to provide rescue assistance as Typhoon Soudelor nears

The military said Thursday that it has opened an emergency center and mobilized servicemen for disaster relief operations as Typhoon Soudelor nears and threatens to dump heavy rainfall around Taiwan beginning Friday.
