Anthropology and history academics display visual aids featuring cultural artifacts from the historical Ryukyu Kingdom at the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum on Friday. The academics were part of a lecture to launch the "Heritage of Ryukyu: The Bridge of the East Asian Maritime" exhibition, which is scheduled to run from Sept. 7 to Dec. 1, and explores the history of modern day Okinawa, Japan, which neighbors Taiwan.
