China-born legislator hopeful denies allegations of CCP membership

China-born Xu Chunying (徐春鶯), a potential legislative candidate for the opposition Taiwan People's Party (TPP) on Sunday denied she has ever been a Chinese Communist Party member, in response to comments made by ruling Democratic Progressive Party Presidential candidate and Vice President Lai Ching-te (賴清德).
