China probe into Taiwan trade barriers politically motivated: Experts

A Chinese investigation into Taiwanese trade barriers is likely a politically motivated attempt to increase pressure on Taipei following an April 5 meeting between President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) and U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, experts said Thursday.
