U.S. dollar closes lower on Taipei forex market

Taipei, Aug. 21 (CNA) The U.S. dollar fell against the Taiwan dollar Friday, shedding NT$0.077 to close at NT$31.848.

Turnover totaled US$1.113 billion during the trading session.

The greenback opened at NT$31.900, and moved to the day's high of NT$31.930 before falling to the day's low of NT$31.848 at the end of the session.
