Inflation stays below 2% alert level for 2nd consecutive month in July

Taiwan's July consumer price index (CPI) registered year-over-year growth of 1.88 percent, marking a second month of inflation below the local central bank's 2 percent target, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) said Wednesday.
