Taiwan reports lower than expected GDP growth for Q2

Taiwan's gross domestic product (GDP) rose 1.45 percent in the second quarter of the year, according to an advanced estimate, failing to meet a forecast made in May due to weaker exports and investments, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) said Friday.
