Taiwan's industrial production falls sharply in January

Taipei, Feb. 23 (CNA) Taiwan's industrial production dropped by more than 20 percent from a year earlier in January, marking the fifth consecutive monthly year-on-year decline, due mainly to semiconductor supply chain inventory adjustments, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) said Thursday.
