Furloughed workers fall nearly 5,000 over past week
Taipei, Jan. 9 (CNA) The number of workers on official furlough programs in Taiwan dropped nearly 5,000 over the past week as businesses in the tourism and manufacturing sectors both recalled more than 1,600 employees from unpaid leave, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) said.
