Taipei, Nov. 9 (CNA) Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, said Tuesday that its board has approved a capital appropriation of over US$9 billion for capacity expansion, while a deal to build a factory in Japan has been finalized.
