Taiwan shares soar to new high after Biden wins U.S. presidency

Shares in Taiwan moved sharply higher by more than 150 points to close at a record high Monday as buying was triggered by the removal of political uncertainty after Joe Biden of the Democratic Party emerged as the winner of the U.S. presidential election, dealers said.
