Lawmakers block Taipower offshore nuclear waste reprocessing plan

Lawmakers from across party lines on Monday overwhelmingly blocked a move by the state-run Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower, 台電) to allow for its nuclear waste to be reprocessed abroad.
