Acer shares down on removal from Taiwan 50 Index

Shares of personal computer vendor Acer Inc. moved lower Thursday morning following news that the stock is about to be removed from the Taiwan 50 Index after a quarterly index review by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and FTSE Group, dealers said.
