Conflict erupts at Matai'an Creek flood reconstruction meeting

Tensions erupted in Hualien as County Council Speaker Chang Chun (張峻) and flood victims stormed a reconstruction meeting held in Guangfu Township by Kuomintang lawmakers Fu Kun-chi (傅崐萁) and Sra Kacaw (鄭天財), demanding to know why they weren't invited. "Why was there no notification?" Chang shouted before kicking Fu's table, to which Fu fired back, calling him "a criminal in the act." Angry residents accused officials of excluding them from the recovery meeting.
