TSMC to begin producing chips on 5nm process late next year

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, is slated to start mass production using the advanced 5 nanometer (nm) manufacturing process in late 2019 or early 2010, Chief Executive and Vice Chairman C.C. Wei (魏哲家) said Thursday.
