Mercury falls to 19.4 degrees Celsius in New Taipei's Tamsui

Strengthening northeasterly winds sent the mercury down to 19.4 degrees Celsius in New Taipei's Tamsui District at 2:28 a.m. Saturday, the lowest temperature recorded in Taiwan's flatland areas so far this autumn, the Central Weather Bureau said.
