Government to extend high-speed rail to Pingtung: Premier

Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) on Tuesday announced that the government has decided to extend the high-speed rail line to Pingtung County in response to long standing calls from local lawmakers wanting to boost travel to Taiwan's southernmost county.
