Taiwan's President-elect Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) said Saturday that she respects President Ma Ying-jeou's (馬英九) right to form a caretaker Cabinet to maintain proper communication and coordination with the DPP to ensure a smooth transition of power.
