Taiwan shares end down amid Wall Street volatility

Shares in Taiwan closed lower on Tuesday in response to a volatile Wall Street overnight, but losses were limited as bargain hunters emerged to pick up select large cap stocks after the main board fell below the 11,000 point mark, dealers said.
