Taiwan may not be able to record 1% growth this year: official

It will be "difficult" for Taiwan's gross domestic product (GDP) to maintain 1 percent growth this year as economic expansion in the third quarter will not live up to expectations, Shih Su-mei (石素梅), director-general of the Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS), said Thursday.
