Taipei, Jun 1 (CNA) Taiwanese actor Shone An (安鈞璨) died Monday of liver cancer at the age of 31, his management company said.

An, whose real name was Huang Yi-cheng (黃益承), was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away at his home, Frigga Entertainment said in a statement.

A memorial service will be held on June 8 and the exact time and location will be announced later, according to the company.

An was a member of boy band Comic Boyz, which disbanded in 2005.

He then turned to acting, mainly in China, appearing in films and TV dramas such as "Case Sensitive" (敏感事件) and "The Emperor's Harem" (後宮).

"I will forever miss your handsome face, foul mouth and passionate and loyal heart. Love you forever," TV talk show hostess Dee Hsu (徐熙娣), or Xiao S, said in a Sina Weibo post that mourned her friend's passing.
