Taiwan sees first plum rain front

The year's first plum rain front arrived Wednesday, bringing heavy precipitation around Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau said. Pingtung County in southern Taiwan had the most rainfall between midnight and 10 a.m., recording an accumulated precipitation of around 80 millimeters, forecasters said.
