Taipei, Feb. 4 (CNA) Retired basketball star Jeremy Lin (林書豪) is set to return to the NBA All-Star Weekend in the United States, making his debut in the Celebrity Game in mid-February.
The NBA unveiled the rosters of the two celebrity teams jointly with ESPN on Tuesday (U.S. time), with the game scheduled for Feb. 13 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
The announcement marks Lin's second straight year of involvement in NBA All-Star Weekend, following his debut as an honorary head coach for the 2025 NBA Rising Stars mini-tournament.
Lin joins an 11-man roster that includes 7-foot-6 former NBA player Tacko Fall, ESPN senior NBA insider Shams Charania and Chinese actor and singer Dylan Wang (王鶴棣).
Lin's team will be coached by the Antetokounmpo brothers, including two-time NBA regular-season MVP and NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo, as well as four-time Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series champion Mookie Betts.
Players on the opposing team include NBA legend and champion Jason "White Chocolate" Williams, seven-time Olympic medalist sprinter Andre De Grasse and actor Simu Liu, who stars in the upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday."
The official Instagram account of the NBA All-Star also announced Lin's participation in a post, which Lin shared without further comment as of press time.
In late August 2025, shortly after turning 37, Lin decided to retire after a 15-year professional career in the U.S., Canada, China and Taiwan.
