Taipei, Jan. 4 (CNA) Taoyuan International Airport Corp. announced Friday that riding on vehicles including scooter-suitcases (also known as "scootcases"), bicycles, scooters and skateboards is prohibited in the airport's terminals.
Those using these vehicles should manually pull them or place them on luggage trolleys, the airport company said in a Facebook post.
The ban intends to maintain order and protect travelers' safety, as the airport often sees large crowds of people, the company said.

The company has stepped up propagation of the regulation, and those who do not comply after a spoken warning will be reported to the police, the airport company told journalists on Saturday.
The decision to impose the ban was made at a meeting on safety and management concerns about scootcases with the Civil Aviation Administration in December, the company added.
As the Lunar New Year holiday approaches, the airport also predicted that the peak for departures will be between Jan. 25-26, while for arrivals, it will be between Feb. 1-2.
