Taipei, Dec. 7 (CNA) A strengthening northeasterly wind system will send temperatures down to 14-15 degrees Celsius in northern and northeastern Taiwan Thursday night and 17-19 degrees in other parts of the country, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).

Northern, northeastern and eastern Taiwan can expect daytime highs of 22-24 degrees, with temperatures peaking at 25-28 degrees in other parts of the country on Thursday, according to the CWA.

Due to reduced moisture in the air, most areas of Taiwan will see cloudy or sunny skies, the CWA said.

Sporadic rainfall is forecast in the east and mountainous areas of central and southern of the island, the CWA added.
