Super Typhoon Saola nears, set to drench eastern, southern Taiwan

The outer rim of Saola, which was re-classified as a super typhoon Tuesday night, is expected to brush past southern Taiwan around noon Wednesday, bringing heavy rain to southern and eastern parts of the country, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
