FEATURE/With loss of last survivor, a struggle to keep memory of comfort women alive

Taiwan's last known "comfort woman" -- a euphemistic term for those forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War II -- died in early May at the age of 92. She was the final living link to a chapter in Taiwan's history that has gradually faded from public consciousness.
