Union threatens to strike over foreign pilot hiring controversy

More than 50 members of the Taoyuan Union of Pilots (TUP) staged a protest Wednesday, demanding the government intervene to stop what they called the "illegal hiring" of foreign pilots by Taiwan's two largest airlines, threatening to strike if no progress is made on the issue.
