New Taipei mayor seeks more government funding for monthly transport pass

New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜) on Monday called on the central government to earmark more funding to subsidize a NT$1,200 (US$39.16) monthly public transport pass program for commuters in Keelung, New Taipei, Taipei and Taoyuan which is set to be rolled out in July.
