Tainan pharmaceutical factory faces fine for air pollution after fire

The Tainan City government said Thursday it will slap a fine of NT$825,000 (US$29,493) on a pharmaceutical company for environmental pollution, after a fire broke out at its factory in the city earlier in the day, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky.
