Taiwan hosts 60% of global black-faced spoonbill wintering population

A total of 3,132 black-faced spoonbills, or some 60 percent of the global population of 5,222, were sighted in Taiwan this winter, up 347 from the same period of last year, according to an annual census conducted by the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society.
