U.S. urges 'peaceful resolution' of cross-strait issues

The United States on Thursday reiterated its support for a "peaceful resolution" of cross-strait issues after Chinese President Xi Jinping (習近平) vowed to crush any Taiwan independence attempts as well as forces meddling with its unification goal.
