U.S. will fulfill its commitments to Taiwan's defense: Pompeo

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Friday that the U.S. will "fulfill (its) commitments" to Taiwan, amid rising calls on the American right for the U.S. to explicitly commit to defending Taiwan in the event that it is attacked by China.
