Nominee for Control Yuan deputy chief withdraws amid criticism
Taipei, June 20 (CNA) Former Taitung Magistrate Justin Huang (黃健庭) on Saturday declined President Tsai Ing-wen's (蔡英文) nomination as deputy chief of the Control Yuan, one day after news of the cross-party appointment sparked criticism from across Taiwan's political spectrum.
