Parade-ready Wangye boat

A Wangye boat built for a religious event held every three years is seen outside Xizhou's Daitian Temple in Nanchou Township, Pingtung County, Monday. A ritual was held in the day to open a "waterway" before a six-day parade of the Wangye deities on the boat around Taiwan begins on Tuesday. CNA photo July 8, 2024
