Taipei, Sept. 25 (CNA) The Special Force 2 Pro League (SF2PL), set up by Wayi International Digital Entertainment (華義) and the Taiwan eSports League (TeSL), will kick off Oct. 2, the organizers said Friday.

The first round of the tournament will be initiated by six professional eSports teams from the six municipalities in Taiwan -- Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung. Each team will travel to the other five municipalities for the competition.

An all-women team of gamers called Taipei Capital (台北首都隊) will participate in the tournament, competing against five other men-only teams. Taipei Capital did very well in warm-up matches, and is expected to prove its skills in the upcoming video game competition.

All the games will be aired in 1080p HD on cable TV, the TeSL official website and the Wayi mobile device app, marking a new milestone for Taiwan's eSports.
