8 Chinese warplanes cross Taiwan Strait median line: Defense ministry

A total of 33 Chinese warplanes were detected in Taiwan's air defense identification zone (ADIZ) during the 24-hour period from 6 a.m. Wednesday, including eight that crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, according to Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense (MND).
