Taiwan shares hit new high on TSMC's solid gains

Shares in Taiwan hit a new closing high Tuesday as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) soared on news of the company's plan to build a third wafer fab in Arizona, which is expected to boost sales in the long-term.
